Extradition Campaign
Extradition Campaign
We have been given a rare opportunity to address the Parliament of a 1st world country, Australia on their consideration respecting a new extradition treaty with the UAE. Thanks to our sponsors, we are now confirmed to be in Australia next week.
We have with our colleagues, so far been able to stop the ratification of the Treaty to enable further consideration of the ramifications.
In addressing Parliamentarians directly and the worldwide media, we will be able to highlight several issues that will in turn influence the rest of the world. The primary issues are:
1. The UAE's over reporting via Interpol
2. Human Rights Violations in the UAE
3. An unfair and under developed Judicial system in the UAE, including corruption
4. The extreme implications of an Extradition Treaty with the UAE
We have already written the the Prime Minister and other Senators and Parliamentarians and received promising responses.
We aim to influence changes to the Interpol reporting system, whereby there are more stringent requirements placed on member states. We further aim to highlight judicial issues in order to encourage changes within the UAE and prevent extraditions, particularly since foreigners are presently unable to receive a fair trial.
We welcome financial assistance throughout this trip for this cause specifically.
If you are able to contribute to this cause, please contact us as soon as possible. Corporate sponsorships are welcome or personal donations. We have been donated the services of a prominent Public Relations company in Australia who will be arranging press coverage and public addresses but need your urgent support to make this happen. We truly believe that proceeding with this campaign will seriously benefit the cause and prevent extraditions and frivolous fugitive reporting in the future!
