How would you like to contribute to a wonderful cause?

Detained in Dubai help foreigners who have fallen victim to a judicial system that lacks the requirement a burden of proof and is prejudice towards foreign nationals.

We help people from all walks of life, all nationalities in all judicial situations, both civil and criminal.  The vast majority of the people we help are innocent of the charges and have proof that is irrelevant in a prehistoric legal system.

The rest of the judicial victims are there because they inadvertently committed a crime.  This happens in Dubai for a number of reasons including the fact that Dubai markets itself to Westerners as a fun holiday destination where bikinis, alcohol & parties are happening.  Western holiday makers & business visitors are getting themselves into trouble because of this marketing but also because bonuses for arrests are issued to authorities at airports and other departure points.

We still have much work to do and our focus is on the following areas:

  1. 1. Assisting foreigners currently in prison to negotiate their release or improve their conditions where possible;

  2. 2. Assisting foreigners who are currently in a legal mess that could result in severe consequences;

  3. 3. Raising awareness and advising foreigners before they visit Dubai

  4. 4. Influencing positive change in the UAE judiciary with a hope that fair trials, a burden of proof & evidence procedures are improved.

To help this 100% privately funded organisation, please send an email to us and we will help you set up a monthly standing order or alternatively, we welcome you to do occasional collections from your staff either to help us overall or help with a particular campaign.

We have kept our overheads very low so approximately 90% of your donation is used directly on casework in an effective way.

We will naturally proudly show that you have sponsored our organisation and give you updates on how exactly your contribution has helped us.
